Aluminum Composite Panel

Aluminum composite panel is a kind of new decorative material consisting of two thin coil-coated aluminum sheets bonded to a non-aluminum core, which is also known as Aluminum composite material in some area. Mostly it is called ACP or ACM for short.

The main structure of Aluminum composite panel:

  • Top Aluminum Sheet coated with Polyester or PVDF paint
  • Low-density Polyethylene (LDPE) or Fireproof Core
  • Bottom Aluminum Sheet with Primer

Feature

Aluminum composite panel is popular for its excellent performance like:

  • Colorful design for decoration use
  • Durable & Economic
  • Light weight
  • Easy on processing and installation
  • Heat and sound insulation
  • Easy maintenance
  • Non-toxicity and Safety
  • Super peeling strength
  • Excellent coating property

Thus Aluminum composite panel is widely used in the building construction and advertising fields, such as:

Curtain wall, building cladding facade, exterior and interior construction decoration, Auto 4S shop, shop front decoration, display fabrication, signage, digital UV printing, sign board and so on.

A2 Fire-Rated vs PE-Core ACP — Which Do You Need?

Rule of thumb: if the panel goes on an exterior or public building where fire codes apply, specify A2. If it is interior or signage where local code allows, PE-core saves cost. For US coastal projects, we can support Miami-Dade NOA documentation on A2 lines.

Common ACP Applications

Why Coating Quality Determines Panel Life

The coating is the first thing that fails on a cheap panel — fading, chalking, or delamination after 3–5 years. We avoid that by using high-quality raw materials only:

Aluminum Composite Panel FAQ

What is an aluminum composite panel (ACP)?

An aluminum composite panel (ACP or ACM) is a flat panel made of two thin coil-coated aluminum sheets bonded to a non-aluminum core, usually low-density polyethylene or a fireproof mineral core. It is lightweight, durable, and widely used for building facades, interior decoration, ceilings, and signage.

What is the difference between A2 fire-rated and PE-core ACP?

PE-core ACP has a polyethylene core and is economical. A2 fire-rated ACP uses a mineral-filled core meeting non-combustible standards such as EN 13501-1 A2 and NFPA 285, required for high-rise and public building cladding.

What thicknesses and colors are available?

We produce ACP in 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm thicknesses in any RAL or custom color. Coatings include PVDF (over 70% PPG resin) and polyester (Becker), with wood, mirror, and brushed-metal finishes available.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our MOQ is one standard container. Sample kits are available before a first order.

How do you ship to the US or EU, and what is the lead time?

We ship door-to-door (FOB, CIF, or DDP) from Jinhua, Zhejiang. Production lead time is typically 10–15 days after deposit, plus shipping time. We export to over 70 countries.

Do you provide fire test certificates or Miami-Dade NOA?

We provide ISO9001 certification, fire test reports for A2 panels, and engineering-recommended product certificates. Miami-Dade NOA documentation can be supported for US coastal projects on request.
